Biopower is a special purpose company headquartered
in Bangkok, Thailand that will build, own and
operate four rice husk fueled electric power plants
in central Thailand. The Electric Generating Authority
of Thailand will buy 20 MWs of power from each
plant under a 25-year contract. The power plants
also produce a valuable rice husk ash that can
be sold to the steel and cement industries. Each
power plant’s design and operation guarantee
that all Thai and international environmental
standards will be met. The plants provide significant
employment and other benefits to the communities
near the plants.

Korat Waste to
Energy, Ltd. (KWTE) is a special purpose company
formed to construct a baffled anaerobic digester
at the Sanguan Wongse Industries (SWI) starch
factory in the Korat District of Thailand. The
digester converts organic waste from SWI's starch
factory into biogas. The biogas is piped to SWI
where it replaces SWI's use of fuel oil for starch
drying and for the production of 3.1 MW of electric
power.

in Southern Morocco. Noor Web uses small local

tools that will provide financial benefits for
new solar power micro-enterprises, solar hot water
heaters and solar electric systems

operate biogas projects in Thailand. The initial
market for the company has been Thai starch factories
and TBEC is utilizing the biogas technology used
by the Korat Waste to Energy Company in its successful
biogas plant in Korat.
